15th

I can't believe this, and there is no valid excuse for this, but we both forgot our 15th month of being together.  :'(  Blame the busy schedule, blame the many things we need to think about, blame the unsettled plans we have for the future, but I blame nothing but myself (and I blame him, too! Haha!).

To compensate, let me write down 15 things I love about you, about us, my love. I believe writing these cheesy things down will help me, personally, to count my blessings and appreciate the simple wonders of our relationship.

Here comes the list:

  1. I love how you would always tell me I'm beautiful and how everything looks good on me even when I know for a FACT that it does not.  But your belief, in turn, makes me believe in it as well.
  2. I love how even the simplest meals that we share bring about happy and unforgettable memories as if we're dining at the most extraordinary restaurants.
  3. I love how you do not require or ask me to go on a diet to eliminate my flabby arms and tummy.  Haha!  Instead, you always want me to indulge in my favorites, saying that it's alright.
  4. I love how, in fact, you always let me choose where we're going to eat.  And this is especially important because I'd always have these random cravings, or addiction, every now and then.
  5. I love how when we get into a fight and I refuse to talk anymore, you DO NOT give up and let the day end without reconciling.
  6. I love how you are man enough to apologize, accept your weaknesses, and try to improve because you know that that's important to me.
  7. I love that you are supporting my PhD plans.  Thanks for saying yes to US!
  8. I love your handwriting!!  I do, Sweety, I just do.  :)  [So why not put that into further use and write me some more love notes?  Hehe!]
  9. I love that you cook for me. No other way but fatville!
  10. I love how you care about my little cousin whom I love to death.  Because of this, I have no doubt in my head that you'll be a great father to our future children.
  11. I love how you let me have a final say to all our wedding plans, hehe!  Thank you!
  12. I love how you download the newest episodes of our favorite series and wait for me to watch them - when you could easily sneak and watch them ahead (which I think is something I would do, haha!).
  13. I love how you would make an effort to open and close the door for me - even if I have already opened and closed it myself!  Haha!
  14. I love how you'd drive from your place to mine and back.  Yes, you complain (a lot!), but you do it anyway.
  15. I love how you don't miss a day, even when you're already dead tired, to ask me how my day went and tell me you love me.  It's those simple, little things which actually matter a whole lot.

I have more to write, but I'll save them for when I forget our monthsary again.  Haha, kidding!  Let's not forget our next month, alright?  That's a deal!  Violator will be penalized!

I love you, Jude!  Can't wait for the future!

Our Very First Wedding Gift

As any future bride would be hunting wedding ideas over the internet, I came across some really nice wooden cake toppers.  Unfortunately, they were out of my price range. :(

Luckily, I found cheap blank wooden dolls for sale online.  They sell the dolls for about a dollar a piece.  BUT!  The shipping fee is rather steep (because they sell in bulk).  So, I emailed their customer service and humbly asked if they could offer me a lower shipping rate.  Here's the reply I got:

---
If you'd email me with your mailing address, I'll just pop them into a
padded envelope and mail them to you.  It'll be my good deed for the day. :)

Michelle
---

Because of a stranger's kindness, I got these dolls for free! How lucky am I?
She even included a message!

Now, how can I make sure we won't mess this up... Hehehe!  Michelle, you are heaven sent!

Resurrection

I can't believe it's been more than four months since I've last posted on this blog (and my other one).  Has it really been that long??

Now, I have relatively more time on my hands so I guess it's time to resurrect this blog.  And what better way to start this space anew than to announce our engagement!!!

Yes, that's right!  We are engaged!

December 1 is the date to remember.  (I've always been in love with you, December!  And now I love you even more.)

After our "proposal" in the parking lot, because of the traffic, we decided to take the longer route home. Since we're going that way, we decided to drop by the church where we want to get married.  I've always known I wanted to get married in a small church - I just feel it's more intimate that way.  Plus, I don't wanna see lots of empty pews, hehe!  Blame it on the teacher in me.  Anyway, we LOVE this chapel!  We only saw it on pictures before, and we loved it then already.  But when we got there, we felt that it we were really meant to get married there.  It's a chapel within a park, so it's not your usual church where the vicinity is surrounded by cars or vendors or outsiders/non-guests.  I hope the guests would love it as much as we do!  Well, actually, we didn't get to see the inside of the chapel - it's closed.  But the view outside is more than enough!
Because this is definitely a day to be documented,
Roi was bold enough to ask the security guard to take our photo!
(Check out my cried-out eyes!)
Ring Trivia - the ring has 11 diamonds on each side.
Roi wanted it customized and have 12 on each side (to total of 24 - our anniversary),
but my finger is so small and kiddy-like that the circumference of the ring
won't allow for an additional stone on each side, haha!
Also, the ring is in rose gold! Love love!

Sweety, thank you for the ring.  I'm not ladylike in terms of jewelry, I couldn't care less about it (I don't even own any piece).  But it's surely nice to get one, especially from somebody special.  ;)  I am very proud to wear this ring because I know you worked hard and saved up for it, and I know that you thought very carefully of me while searching for one.  If only I could sleep with it on, I would.  Hehe!  It suits me perfectly!

What's next?  Wedding preps!

Here comes some more mush:

Mahal kita, Jude! :D

8th Month

Forgive me, dear blog, for the non-activity here.  But it's just here in the blog - in actual 3D world, we're having a blast!  Blast eating, DVD marathon-ing, and daydreaming!

And last Saturday, our 8th month date consisted of eating at the food court ( I LOVE the food court!), watching Flipped at home (I LOVE this movie so much!), eating junkfood (I LOVE Clover Chips!), taking care of my not-so-little-anymore baby cousin (I LOVE Gerard more than anything!), and this:

Because we are bored and had nowhere else to go
(mahal manood ng sine! :p)

The Untold Story of the Xiao Long Bao

Somebody exerted effort, to let me know indirectly that I ate his part of the xiao long bao.
Hehe!
