Our Very First Wedding Gift

As any future bride would be hunting wedding ideas over the internet, I came across some really nice wooden cake toppers.  Unfortunately, they were out of my price range. :(

Luckily, I found cheap blank wooden dolls for sale online.  They sell the dolls for about a dollar a piece.  BUT!  The shipping fee is rather steep (because they sell in bulk).  So, I emailed their customer service and humbly asked if they could offer me a lower shipping rate.  Here's the reply I got:

---
If you'd email me with your mailing address, I'll just pop them into a
padded envelope and mail them to you.  It'll be my good deed for the day. :)

Michelle
---

Because of a stranger's kindness, I got these dolls for free! How lucky am I?
She even included a message!

Now, how can I make sure we won't mess this up... Hehehe!  Michelle, you are heaven sent!

Resurrection

I can't believe it's been more than four months since I've last posted on this blog (and my other one).  Has it really been that long??

Now, I have relatively more time on my hands so I guess it's time to resurrect this blog.  And what better way to start this space anew than to announce our engagement!!!

Yes, that's right!  We are engaged!

December 1 is the date to remember.  (I've always been in love with you, December!  And now I love you even more.)

After our "proposal" in the parking lot, because of the traffic, we decided to take the longer route home. Since we're going that way, we decided to drop by the church where we want to get married.  I've always known I wanted to get married in a small church - I just feel it's more intimate that way.  Plus, I don't wanna see lots of empty pews, hehe!  Blame it on the teacher in me.  Anyway, we LOVE this chapel!  We only saw it on pictures before, and we loved it then already.  But when we got there, we felt that it we were really meant to get married there.  It's a chapel within a park, so it's not your usual church where the vicinity is surrounded by cars or vendors or outsiders/non-guests.  I hope the guests would love it as much as we do!  Well, actually, we didn't get to see the inside of the chapel - it's closed.  But the view outside is more than enough!
Because this is definitely a day to be documented,
Roi was bold enough to ask the security guard to take our photo!
(Check out my cried-out eyes!)
Ring Trivia - the ring has 11 diamonds on each side.
Roi wanted it customized and have 12 on each side (to total of 24 - our anniversary),
but my finger is so small and kiddy-like that the circumference of the ring
won't allow for an additional stone on each side, haha!
Also, the ring is in rose gold! Love love!

Sweety, thank you for the ring.  I'm not ladylike in terms of jewelry, I couldn't care less about it (I don't even own any piece).  But it's surely nice to get one, especially from somebody special.  ;)  I am very proud to wear this ring because I know you worked hard and saved up for it, and I know that you thought very carefully of me while searching for one.  If only I could sleep with it on, I would.  Hehe!  It suits me perfectly!

What's next?  Wedding preps!

Here comes some more mush:

Mahal kita, Jude! :D

8th Month

Forgive me, dear blog, for the non-activity here.  But it's just here in the blog - in actual 3D world, we're having a blast!  Blast eating, DVD marathon-ing, and daydreaming!

And last Saturday, our 8th month date consisted of eating at the food court ( I LOVE the food court!), watching Flipped at home (I LOVE this movie so much!), eating junkfood (I LOVE Clover Chips!), taking care of my not-so-little-anymore baby cousin (I LOVE Gerard more than anything!), and this:

Because we are bored and had nowhere else to go
(mahal manood ng sine! :p)

The Untold Story of the Xiao Long Bao

Somebody exerted effort, to let me know indirectly that I ate his part of the xiao long bao.
Hehe!

No Pics?

Wish we take more pictures, Sweety!

In line with my idea that a good blog post is a post with pictures, I feel restrained to blog knowing that I don't have good photos of us to share!  I can probably count in my hands the number of photos we have.  Isn't that sad? :(

Let's take more pictures, okay?  That dinner plate can wait. :p

LDR

I now have the highest respect for couples who keep their relationship (honestly and sincerely) despite spatial distance.

It's just been about 2 weeks, but it feels terribly longer than that.  I'm missing you!  Do you miss me, too? ;)

Lumo-long distance!

Special March :)

  • Today, March 27, marks the first anniversary of our first date.  Who would've thought I'll be in a romantic relationship after almost 8 months of dating, I who has been perennially single?  Not I, certainly.  I have actually (sort of) prepared myself for a life spent in singlehood, and I actually didn't have a lot of troubles about that thought.  But again, this dear God of mine, swoop in, with just the most perfect timing in the world, and led me to someone who'd care about me like no one ever would.

  • And last March 24, we celebrated our 4th month of being together.  We actually almost didn't, because of a stupid fight.  Haha!  But all's well that ends well.  And all's well that ends with barbecue dinner by the bay.  Haha!

4 hearts for 4 months!
I cut this using my Cameo.  It's made out of paper and vinyl.
Will put our names on the bottom left corner.
Thank you, SM, for this cheap frame! :D

The King and Us!

Last Saturday, we had an opportune time to watch The King and I at Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World.  It was QUITE an experience because:

- we had NICE, complimentary tickets!
- it was our first time to watch a play together (with Roi's mom at that!).  I've always wanted to watch a play, that could be my kind of date, but it's rather costly. And far.  So again, thanks for the free seats!
- right before the play, we got complimentary lunch as well!  (buffet lunch at that! :p)  We were just the luckiest!
- it was our first time to go around Newport - it reminded me so much of the casinos and hotels in Vegas, with smaller versions of fountains.  Hehe!

Hope this will not be the last of those plays we'll get to watch! (kumu-culture!)

The lunch we immensely enjoyed.
I'm in love with a new pasta recipe - Napolitana!

3rd Month

Say 'hello' to Mr. Mummy! :p
Mwehehe!

I have the best boy girlfriend!  Haha!
No need to exert any force so he could come with me and do kikay stuff.

Well, actually, if I think about it, I'm not really a kikay person.  And he IS!

Happy 3rd month!

Post Vday

Thank you, my love, for your gift and well planned out post Vday date. I sure am not a fan of the commercialism surrounding Feb. 14, but having to celebrate it with you makes me excited about it.

You're an A+ date!

Sorry, teacher eh. :p

Ram's First Birthday!

It's celebration after celebration!

Feb 10, a day after Carmel's wedding, we attended Ram's first birthday in Jollibee, Marcos Hi-way.  I brought Gerard along!  We rode a cab going there (thank God for Sundays - no traffic!).  We got there early (again), good thing other visitors arrived early, too.

Gerard was very slow to warm up to the teachers.  But once he has warmed up, you couldn't hold him down anymore!  He enjoyed the games, the winning, and of course, the food!  Hahaha!

He, like all of us, enjoyed the photo booth, too!

Happy birthday, Ram!!!

Wedding Date!

This is the first wedding we attended as a couple!  Or make that, first wedding we attended together.  Period.  Hehe!

Last Saturday, Feb. 9, Brian and Carmel got married!!!!!!  I was asked to be the commentator in the mass so we got in the church early.  Way early.  Hehe!

The ceremonies were simple and heartfelt, just how any sappy romantic like me would have it. :)

We went round and round before reaching The Pergola (Peace, Sweety!  Hehe!).  Good thing lines at buffet table weren't long!  I would've thrown tantrums there, hehe.

Roi was wishing for two things - photo booth and open bar!  Hahaha!  Buti na lang photo booth lang ang meron!  Hehehe!

I know this collage could be a candidate for the worst photo ever (look at us!!)! Haha!
But this has to be posted - first photo booth ever!
Lots of first's!

Some more photo booth-ing (hehe!) with Xavier friends! :)

Congratulations and best wishes, Brian and Carmel!!!  We love you!

Extended Weekend

How fortunate that we both got a free day from work yesterday - thank you, Xavier and Ateneo!!  Hehe!

After some unexpected hoopla's, misunderstanding, and getting on each other's nerves, we were okay. And so our afternoon date pushed through.  OTH on a roll again!  Hehe!

Thank you for the waffles.  They did say you're genuinely sorry. :)

Satur-date!

I was supposed to go to the XS fair with my little cousin, but the weather and my pocket had other plans. Haha!

So, after his shift, we just met up in Galleria.  We first went to the department store to get myself some jeans. After trying a number of denim, I was finally able to buy two which fit well.  Ah, me and those nicely-fitting jeans!  Thanks, Sweety, for being so patient and kind, saying how everything looks good on me when I know for a FACT that they don't. Hehehhe.

Before we headed to the movies, I was feeling hungry so I ordered some siomai and he got some chips.  All set for the theater!

We watched Warm Bodies, which was like the epitome of the opposite of feel-good movies! I know for sure that I would not want to watch it again! Haha!

Then! Unexpectedly, we got a free restaurant coupon from the movie house (buy two tickets, get  a stub). Oh yeah!! We live for freebies!  So right after, we went to Seafood Island to get our free serving of sisig, and the underpriced plate of inihaw na liempo.  Yuuuuuuuum! We enjoyed our stories over dinner, and so the acoustic live singer in the resto was such a delightful bonus. Yey for Saturday!

We head home, watched some One Tree Hill episodes (old school!!) then off he went.  It was perfect! If only he didn't get caught in traffic on his way home.  Poor guy!

Nevertheless, I wanna say it again, Yey for Saturday!!

And we both won't have work tomorrow, so I shall see you!

On a Roll

Seeing each other more than once a week is a rarity for us, so I really thank God for this weekend!

Yesterday, we had an eat-all-you-can (again) lunch in Treffpunkt. Oooohh, sausages! Sulit ang 150!

And then we went to Trinima to watch Hansel and Gretel. It was a full house! So we had to walk all the way to SM North to see if we could get decent seats there. Thankfully, we did. And! I got to eat my favorite, newest addiction - belgian waffles!!!

The movie was entertaining, but too morbid for my taste. 😜

Then we head home and watched Chuck and HIMYM. I love nights like this -   quality time without much cost. Hehe!

Consider this the extension of our second month celebration! Hehe!

Second Month Celebration

We weren't able to celebrate our second month anniversary yesterday because I had class until 9pm (ouch!). Though a day late, we made sure to have a little something for today.

We ate at Bensetti's diner in Cubao - a surprise for me. I also got chocolates AND a card!!  It's like:

Card > Dinner

Haha, kidding!

For about two hours, we were the only people there.  We didn't eat a lot but we made sure to get our money's worth by staying there 'til 8pm! Haha! We had our usual round of stories, discussion of the future and whatnot, and just enjoyed each other's company. Nothing beats that.

Love love love!

A Belated Holiday Greeting!

We were so happy to be celebrating the Christmas season together (though not physically).  So, here's a belated merry Christmas and happy New Year from us and grizzly bear! :)

Numero Uno

In honor of our second month of being together, I give birth to this blog.

Even if the whole world doesn't see us, not that we meant for them to see or care about us, even if it doesn't witness our love, may this portal serve as a proof of our togetherness -- may it house our young memories as we create them.

We may not have a lot of shared stories from the past, but we have our whole future before us to share our lives with each other. And to the people we love.

To this blog! And, to us. :)
