Our Very First Wedding Gift

As any future bride would be hunting wedding ideas over the internet, I came across some really nice wooden cake toppers.  Unfortunately, they were out of my price range. :(

Luckily, I found cheap blank wooden dolls for sale online.  They sell the dolls for about a dollar a piece.  BUT!  The shipping fee is rather steep (because they sell in bulk).  So, I emailed their customer service and humbly asked if they could offer me a lower shipping rate.  Here's the reply I got:

If you'd email me with your mailing address, I'll just pop them into a
padded envelope and mail them to you.  It'll be my good deed for the day. :)

Because of a stranger's kindness, I got these dolls for free! How lucky am I?
She even included a message!

Now, how can I make sure we won't mess this up... Hehehe!  Michelle, you are heaven sent!

Resurrection

I can't believe it's been more than four months since I've last posted on this blog (and my other one).  Has it really been that long??

Now, I have relatively more time on my hands so I guess it's time to resurrect this blog.  And what better way to start this space anew than to announce our engagement!!!

Yes, that's right!  We are engaged!

December 1 is the date to remember.  (I've always been in love with you, December!  And now I love you even more.)

After our "proposal" in the parking lot, because of the traffic, we decided to take the longer route home. Since we're going that way, we decided to drop by the church where we want to get married.  I've always known I wanted to get married in a small church - I just feel it's more intimate that way.  Plus, I don't wanna see lots of empty pews, hehe!  Blame it on the teacher in me.  Anyway, we LOVE this chapel!  We only saw it on pictures before, and we loved it then already.  But when we got there, we felt that it we were really meant to get married there.  It's a chapel within a park, so it's not your usual church where the vicinity is surrounded by cars or vendors or outsiders/non-guests.  I hope the guests would love it as much as we do!  Well, actually, we didn't get to see the inside of the chapel - it's closed.  But the view outside is more than enough!
Because this is definitely a day to be documented,
Roi was bold enough to ask the security guard to take our photo!
(Check out my cried-out eyes!)
Ring Trivia - the ring has 11 diamonds on each side.
Roi wanted it customized and have 12 on each side (to total of 24 - our anniversary),
but my finger is so small and kiddy-like that the circumference of the ring
won't allow for an additional stone on each side, haha!
Also, the ring is in rose gold! Love love!

Sweety, thank you for the ring.  I'm not ladylike in terms of jewelry, I couldn't care less about it (I don't even own any piece).  But it's surely nice to get one, especially from somebody special.  ;)  I am very proud to wear this ring because I know you worked hard and saved up for it, and I know that you thought very carefully of me while searching for one.  If only I could sleep with it on, I would.  Hehe!  It suits me perfectly!

What's next?  Wedding preps!

Here comes some more mush:

Mahal kita, Jude! :D
